Fun at the Decatur Children’s Museum

It’s amazing how much there is to do in Central Illinois in the middle of winter. Kids – and adults – sleep better with a day full of activity, and using up some of that energy is exactly what our family did on Sunday at the Children’s Museum in Decatur.

The kids enjoyed making bubbles with giant wands, painting on windows and playing repair on kid-sized race car. If you’re not up for the drive to Decatur, or Bloomington (which has an awesome kids museum with even more for the toddlers to do), check out Orpheum Children Museum or Urbana’s Indoor Aquatic Center. While I’m hoping that it won’t be long until we can start some outdoor biking or head to the area parks, I’m also fully aware that we’ve had snow in April here in good ole’ East Central Illinois!
